New Blog

Ok, I was trying to make our blog stylish, but I couldn't change anything about it, so I started a new blog that will be better then the first! Well I hope it to be. The new blog address is www.meet-the-macs.blogspot.com. Or I think you can just go to my profile on the other blog and find it there, which ever is easiest!

Staying Home

Staying at home with my daughter has brought me so much joy. Watching her every move and being able to see the new things she learns keeps me pretty entertained. She can entertain herself and I can just sit and watch her for hours at a time. She is starting to understand the box with shapes and the shapes themselves. She doesn't quite put them in, but she puts the correct shape on the side that it goes on. She knows the star and the rectangle. She is good with her lion sound and the monkey sound. Yes, I know kids are suppose to know their farm animals. Well we went a different route and started on the exotics. :) She says the word tickle, doggy, oh yeah, and hello. No really, she says oh yeah. She mimics your every move as well. She has said "Momma" once, but never again.

She follows the dog back and forth until he gets tired and just lays down. She tries to have tea party's with him. She knows the tea pot goes with the tea cups.

Ok, I could go on forever, but she is sleeping right now, so I better get some cleaning done.

Happy Birthday Isabella

I can't believe it. Isabella turned 1 today. We got up at 8:00 and played with her new drum and magnets. We got her a tricycle too, but she won't be able to use it until next year. Had our pictures taken at 11:00. Of course Izzy didn't get her nap in before then, so about a half hour into pictures she got really cranky. We got the most important pictures though. A couple in her birthday dress and a few family pictures. They turned out great! After that we went to Grandma and Grandpa's and had birthday cake. She just jumped right in and got her hands dirty. I don't think I have ever seen a baby enjoy eating icing and some cake, like I did today. It was hilarious.

I would like to say that this entire week has been extremely busy. The only time I actually had to myself was on Tuesday when Izzy was napping. I arranged furniture, washed dishes, and did two loads of laundry, oh plus made dinner. We went to the St. Patty's parade yesterday. It was chilly, but I enjoyed watching Izzy watch the people. She loved it. She just laughed and pointed.

Tomorrow I am meeting an old friend for lunch and catching up on our lives. I will probably try to clean my house again, so it's spic and span for Sunday; Isabella's birthday party!

Two more weeks

I know it's been a little while since I have posted anything on here. I do apologize.

A lot has happened since the last post on 1/21. I put my notice in and my last day of employment will be 3/15, so I can stay home with Izzy. Izzy has finally cut her 4 top teeth. I hope my her one birthday they will be completely through, so when she gets her pictures taken, we will be able to see teeth! She stood for 3 seconds today with a sippy cup in hand. She thinks she is so big. :) The picture posted are from Superbowl Sunday and just hanging out at home.

I had to post another after bath time picture, so you can compare the first bath time picture to now. :) Again, she is getting so, big so fast.

Did you notice her hair in the picture with her and the sippy cup? She wore a bow all day yesterday, and I guess her hair didn't want to lay back down. She looks like Woody Woodpecker, but a lot cuter!

One of my Best Weeks

I would have to say that this week has been one of my best weeks in a long time. Izzy's sitter had her baby on Saturday, so she will has two weeks off and I took the first week and Brian will take the second week. I have had so much fun watching her the last 4 days. We just hung out on Monday. I did some house chores while she napped. Tuesday we went over to Aunt Becky's and had a playdate. I don't know if you know this, but Izzy hates wearing shoes and socks and apprantly hate when others wear socks too because she took Mallory's socks off. It was so cute. Yesterday we went to Terre Haute to see Aunt Amber. She hadn't seen her since October. It was fun. Of course Izzy had a big poop at BK and did you know that some places don't have diaper changing stations in their bathrooms. I had to change her on the floor. Digusting I know, but I had no other choice. We did have her travel diaper change, thank goodness. Today I got up at 7:30 and ate breakfast and then Izzy was up by 8:00. She played for a little bit and now I am trying to get her to take a nap. She is just humming away in her crib. I hope she falls asleep soon because we are meeting Aunt Becky at the mall at 11:30.

I would have never imagined watching my baby girl play would bring so much enjoyment. I just anticpate to see what she does next. She does something new everyday. I am sure her daddy will enjoy his week off next week.

9 month Doctors Appt

So, Izzy went to the doctor yesterday for her 9 month check up. She weighs 21 pounds and is about 29 1/2 inches long, I believe. So we were not aware that Izzy is about to get 4 of her top teeth in. She finally got her two bottoms one in, well they are poking through, but her top gum is recessed pretty badly. You can see these 4 large lumps. It's pretty cool, if you like that sort of stuff. :)

No vaccinations this time. She gets her shots on 4/7 or somewhere around there.

I have some new pictures, that might actually be old, but never posted. Enjoy!
